Whenever the small Washington town of Leavenworth is mentioned, the first thing people want to know is where they can find the best cabins in Leavenworth for their own vacations.

Okay, it’s actually usually “oh, is that the place that looks super European with the Christmas lights?”

But then AFTER that, they ask about the best cabins in Leavenworth. Trust me.

So why are people even looking for cabins in Leavenworth anyway? Why not just stay at a chic hotel for the same price? Well, that’s a valid question. And I have a very valid answer.

In my opinion, the hotels aren’t that great.

There, I said it.

But whyyyy Leavenworth?

First, Leavenworth is a VERY small town. I’m talking like…less than three thousand permanent residents. So there aren’t that many hotels to begin with, let alone higher-range hotels like the Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria, or the Four Seasons. That means the hotel selection are mostly lodges and inns, and the prices are considerably more expensive than usual because of demand.

Second, Leavenworth is an especially cozy destination, even in the summer but ESPECIALLY in the winter. Cabins and small-home stays just give off that extra oomf of comfort and good vibes.

Plus, Leavenworth is a great destination in any season, with fun celebrations happening almost every month. It can be a romantic getaway, a family meetup, or even a solo trip where you can meet other people in town. Whether you want to stay out all night until the sun comes up or stay in and watch the scariest international zombie movies while the snow falls outside, Leavenworth is ready for you!

So have I fully convinced you to look into cabins in Leavenworth when you’re ready to book your stay? Yes? PERFECT. I’ve also bullet-pointed (is that a word) the highlights of each stay, including how many beds and baths, whether it was wheelchair accessible, pet friendly, and even some of the comfort amenities like grills, hot tubs, and laundry access. Now here are the best cabins in Leavenworth to save for later!

Studio – 1 Bedroom

Starting with the small cabins in Leavenworth that are studio/1 bedroom size. Well, these actually happen to all be studios, that’s just the way the cookie crumbled this time. Leavenworth happens to be a great location for couples, so you can get realll cozy with your boo in one of these rentals!

There weren’t many cute studios that also had easy wheelchair access, idk why. BUT for the same price there are slightly bigger rentals that are step-less with ramps so that’s an option.

Downtown Studio – $145/night

  • Studio – 2 Beds – 1 Bath
  • Balcony | Smart TV
view of downtown Leavenworth from a balcony

With this rental, you are right in the HEART of Leavenworth. You will have a designated parking space, which is perfect because you won’t need to drive far to experience the city. You can even drink the best coffee in Leavenworth right from your own balcony overlooking the street. Although there is no kitchen, this studio is literally situated on 8th street, where you step outside and walk right into all the best restaurants in Leavenworth. There is a bit of noise, that comes with the territory of downtown properties, and while it isn’t terrible, light sleepers should take note because it could be a concern.

This particular one is very cozy and intimate, and a little escape from the city, which is about 25 minutes away. The night sky is beautiful from the patio, and nature lovers will love that it is nestled in the (well-kept) trees.
